Abstract
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing a final rule to allow veterinarians to prescribe extralabel uses of certain approved animal drugs and approved human drugs for animals. This action implements the Animal Medicinal Drug Use Clarification Act of 1994 (the AMDUCA). This rule will provide veterinarians greater flexibility for using approved drugs for animal use.
