## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of ethylene/pentene-1 copolymers containing not less than 90 percent of polymer units derived from ethylene as components of articles intended for use in contact with food. This action is in response to a petition filed by Sasol Alpha Olefins.
