Abstract
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the animal drug regulations to reflect approval of a new animal drug application (NADA) filed by Merck Research Laboratories, Div. of Merck & Co., Inc. The NADA provides for veterinary prescription use of ivermectin chewables in cats for the prevention of feline heartworm disease for a month after infection and removal and control of certain hookworm infections.
