Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the animal drug regulations to reflect approval of a new animal drug application (NADA) filed by BioScience Division of Milk Specialties Co. The NADA provides for use of a competitive exclusion culture (lyophilized bacterial cultures) for early establishment of intestinal microflora in chickens to reduce Salmonella colonization.
