## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of 2,9-dichloro-5,12- dihydroquinone[2,3-b]acridine-7,14-dione (C.I. Pigment Red 202) as a colorant for polymers used in contact with food. This action is in response to a petition filed by Ciba-Geigy Corp.
