## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of sucrose acetate isobutyrate (SAIB) as a stabilizer of emulsions of flavoring oils used in nonalcoholic beverages. This action is in response to a petition filed by Eastman Chemical Co.
