Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of acidified solutions of sodium chlorite as an antimicrobial agent in processing water and ice intended for use in contact with seafood. This action is in response to a petition filed by Bio-Cide International, Inc.
