## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of menadione nicotinamide bisulfite (MNB) in diets of growing and finishing swine as a nutritional supplement for the prevention of vitamin K deficiency and as a source of supplemental niacin. This action is in response to a food additive petition (animal use) filed by Vanetta S.p.A.
