## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the expanded safe use of 2,4-di- tert-pentyl-6-[1-(3,5-di-tert-pentyl-2-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]phenyl acrylate as an antioxidant and/or stabilizer for polypropylene, polystyrene, rubber-modified polystyrene, and styrene block copolymers intended for use in contact with food. This action responds to a petition filed by Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd.
