## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of 4,5-dichloro-1,2- dithiol-3-one (also known as 4,5-dichloro-3H-1,2-dithiol-3-one) as a slimicide in the manufacture of food-contact paper and paperboard. This action is in response to a petition filed by Yoshitomi Fine Chemicals, Ltd.
