Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of 4,5-dichloro-2-((5- hydroxy-3-methyl-1-(3-sulfophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)azo)benzenesulfonic acid, calcium salt(1:1), (C.I. Pigment Yellow 183) as a colorant in high density polyethylene and polypropylene resins intended for use in contact with food. This action responds to a petition filed by BASF Corp.
