Abstract

The Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC" or "Commission") is adopting amendments to Rule 9b-1 ("Rule") under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 ("Exchange Act"). Rule 9b-1 governs the filing and dissemination of, and the information to be included in, an options disclosure document. The amendments are intended to provide greater clarity to the Rule's provisions, while continuing a regulatory scheme that fosters investors' understanding of the characteristics and risks of standardized options.
