NCUA is issuing final revisions to the rule governing corporate credit unions (corporates). The major revisions to the rule are in the areas of capital, credit concentration limits and services. The amendments enable corporates to remain competitive in the marketplace while retaining NCUA's historic focus on the safety and soundness of the corporate credit union system. The major changes to these areas necessitate some substantive changes to other provisions of the rule. Several other minor revisions are generally either a clarification or a modernization of the existing rule.
