The final regulation clarifies a number of areas, adds restrictions on some securities which have been determined to be inappropriate for credit unions, broadens authority in certain areas, and requires that a credit union's staff and board of directors meet certain safety and soundness standards with respect to the potential risks of the credit union's investment options.
