## Abstract

The Securities and Exchange Commission (``Commission'') is adopting an amendment to Rule 102(e) of the Commission's Rules of Practice. Under Rule 102(e), the Commission can censure, suspend or bar persons who appear or practice before it. The amendment clarifies the Commission's standard for determining when accountants engage in ``improper professional conduct'' under Rule 102(e)(1)(ii).
