Abstract
Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) is approving a proposed amendment to the Arkansas abandoned mine land reclamation plan (Arkansas plan) under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). The amendment consists of an addition to the Arkansas plan relating to the exclusion of certain noncoal reclamation sites. Arkansas intends to revise its plan to be consistent with the corresponding Federal regulations.
