Abstract
We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), designate critical habitat for the Santa Barbara County population of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) (referred to here as California tiger salamander or CTS in Santa Barbara County) under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act). In total, approximately 11,180 acres (ac) (4,523 hectares (ha)) fall within the boundaries of the critical habitat designation. The critical habitat is located in northern Santa Barbara County, California. Collectively, we excluded a total of 2,740 ac (1,109 ha) of privately-owned lands from this final critical habitat designation.
