## Abstract

This order withdraws 1,321.51 acres of public lands from surface entry and mining, and 360 acres of federally reserved mineral interests from mining, for a period of 50 years for the Bureau of Land Management to protect the Ash Valley Research Natural Area and Area of Critical Environmental Concern. The lands have been and will remain open to mineral leasing and the Materials Act of 1947. The surface estate of the above 360 acres of federally reserved minerals and an additional 360.53 acres of non-Federal lands, if acquired by the United States, would also be withdrawn by this order.
