Abstract
OSM is approving a proposed amendment to the Kansas regulatory program (hereinafter referred to as the ``Kansas program'') under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977. Kansas proposed revisions to its approved revegetation success guidelines pertaining to an additional measurement technique that could be used to determine woody stem density. The amendment is intended to improve operational efficiency.
