Abstract
This rule amends the Subsistence Management Regulations for Public Lands in Alaska implementing the subsistence priority for rural residents of Alaska under Title VIII of the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act of 1980 by extending the effective date of 50 CFR 100.25 and 36 CFR 242.25 (Subsistence taking of wildlife) (60 FR 31542). The regulations, now set to expire on June 30, 1996, are extended through July 31, 1996, to ensure continuity of the subsistence hunting and fishing seasons until the 1996-1997 season regulations can be issued in final form.
