## Abstract

The National Park Service (NPS) is amending the existing penalty provisions for convictions of violating NPS regulations to conform with the Criminal Fine Improvements Act of 1987 (Pub. L. 100- 185; 18 U.S.C. 3571). This Act changed the maximum fine levels for all petty offenses, including those of a regulatory nature, to $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organizations.
