Abstract
This rule revises MMS regulations governing the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Civil Penalty Program. MMS is revising these regulations to clarify and simplify assessing and collecting OCS civil penalties. In addition, MMS is adjusting the maximum civil penalty per day per violation from $20,000 to $25,000 due to inflation.
