Abstract
OSM is approving a proposed amendment to the Missouri abandoned mine land reclamation plan (hereinafter referred to as the ``Missouri plan'') under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). The amendment is intended to revise the Missouri plan to allow the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Land Reclamation Commission, Land Reclamation Program to assume responsibility for administering the abandoned mine land reclamation emergency program in Missouri on behalf of OSM.
