Abstract
The Bureau of Indian Affairs is amending its regulations governing the compilation of rolls of Indians in order to reopen the enrollment application process for the Sisseton and Wahpeton Mississippi Sioux Tribe. The amendment reopens the enrollment period to comply with a directive of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and to modify the standards used to verify Sisseton and Wahpeton Mississippi Sioux Tribe ancestry.
