## Abstract

OSM is approving a proposed amendment to the Maryland regulatory program (``Maryland program'') under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). Maryland proposed revisions to its statutes pertaining to the Land Reclamation Committee to satisfy a required program amendment at 30 CFR 920.16(l). The amendment is intended to revise the Maryland program to be consistent with the corresponding Federal regulations and SMCRA.
