Abstract
OSM is approving proposed amendments to the Maryland regulatory program (Maryland program) under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). The proposed amendments consist of revisions to the Maryland regulations regarding the design, construction and maintenance of haul roads. The amendments are intended to revise the Maryland program to be consistent with the corresponding Federal regulations.
