Abstract
The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) is approving an amendment to the Indiana regulatory program (Indiana program) under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). Indiana proposed revisions to rules concerning revegetation standards for success for nonprime farmland for surface and underground coal mining and reclamation operations under Indiana Code (IC) 14-34. Indiana intends to revise its program to be consistent with the corresponding Federal regulations.
