## Abstract

We, the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM), are suspending certain portions of our permanent program regulations dealing with subsidence from underground coal mining. We are taking this action to make our rules consistent with a recent decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
