# License and source terms

AI Analytics combines material from multiple sources. One blanket license does not apply to every record, field, or source.

US federal works

Works authored by US federal employees as part of their official duties are generally not protected by US copyright under 17 USC §105. That rule does not automatically cover every item hosted on a federal website, material supplied by contractors or third parties, state or local records, or non-federal sources.

Non-federal, SRO, and third-party sources

Source material from non-federal organizations, self-regulatory organizations, and third parties remains subject to the terms identified in the response provenance and on the source site. FINRA-derived material is subject to FINRA's Terms of Use:

AI Analytics-authored material

AI Analytics-authored metadata, normalization, annotations, and methodology are dedicated to CC0 1.0 only where a page or response expressly says so:
  https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/

Access and citation

Free or keyless access does not change a source's copyright, license, or terms of use. Cite the AI Analytics endpoint and retrieval date, identify the primary source URL, and follow the source-specific license, terms_of_use, and rights fields when present.
