THE SWEPCO TRANSFORMER PROVIDING PURCHASED POWER TO THE MINE WAS DISABLED BY LIGHTING. MINERS WERE IMMEDIATELY EVACUATED WITH IN 15 MINUTES OF OCCURRENCE. THE TRANSFORMER WAS RESTORED TO SERVI CE, THE HOIST TESTED AND MEN RETURNED UNDERGROUND AT 9:50 PM.
