Narrative

EE WAS WORKING ON A LONGWALL SET-UP FACE. HE WAS USING A STORE BAR TO KNOCK OLD HOSES OFF A SHIELD FOR REPLACEMENT. WHEN HE STRUCK THE HOSES W/BAR, THE BAR PINCHED HIS THUMB AGAINST UNDERSIDE OF SHIELD & SMASHED HIS THUMB TIP. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE OR IMPAIRMENT TO THE MINING OPERATION OR TO ANY EQUIPMENT. EE WAS WEARING METACARPAL GLOVES.
