## Narrative

The employee was driving a haul truck down the ramp, when the truck started gaining speed.  He attempted to put on the brakes, but the pedal went to the floor.  He steered the truck toward the rib, hitting the rib at least twice before coming to a stop.  He was transported to the ER where he was treated for a 3"" deep puncture wound to the lower left abdomen and taken off work.
