The ee was cutting a piece of 5/8"" nylon rope that was holding 2x4 lumber together. The ee was cutting away from himself at first, he then turned the utility knife toward him & was cutting in his direction. Once the knife cut through the rope & the force he was using he could not stop the knife from striking him on his arm.
