Employee was walking in the pit when he stepped on a berm of coal. The coal slipped out from under his right foot and he tried to catch himself with his left leg. This action caused his left knee to ""Snap"". The employee has been working since the accident, however the pain continued, and the employee missed his first shift because of surgery on 09/16/2004.
