EE and coworker were attempting to remove a worn bit holder from a cont miner cutting drum. the coworker was using a sledge hammer to strike the bit holder to loosen. The victim was standing in the area observing the task. When the coworker struck the bit holder with the hammer, a sliver of steel broke off the holder striking the right forearm of the victim.
