## Narrative

EE (a Maintenance Mechanic) was to install a vent pipe on a vent valve.  He opened the vent valve and a diluted caustic solution sprayed onto his face and got into his left eye.  Opthomologist diagnosed chemical corneal burn to left eye and prescribed antibiotic.  Plant doctor put employee on work restictions.
