Incidnet occurred while this ee was using a utility knife to cut re-enforced pump hose. the knife slipped and he cut his left thumb. Cause of this injury was not wearing proper protective clothing and safety awarness. Compliance with rules/regs was not a factor, protective equipment was a factor, miner proficiency a factor, mining equip/systems not a factor.
