The employee's injury occurred when he was installing rockbolts with a jackleg. As the employee was drilling a bolt hole, a small piece of rock (approx 2"" x 2"") fell through the screened area of the back above the employee. The piece of rock struck the jackleg's rubber muffler then deflected striking the employee on his upper lip.
