Narrative

Employee was lifting a jackhammer out of a crusher and he had his left hand on the bit. The trigger was inadvertently contacted while lifting it out, and the jackhammer was activated momentarily. The bit cut through his leather glove and cut the palm of his left hand about 3/4"", and sutures were required to close the laceration.
