Employee was peeling off the face of a slab and sandstone with a 2 lb hammer and stone chisel when he was struck in the left eye by a stone fragment which entered under the lens of his safety glasses. Diagnosis: traumatic conjunctivitis, prescription medication given. Returned to work next morning full capacity.
