## Narrative

Due to hurrican Katrina we received 3.5"" of rain in an hour and a half. At 1:30 pm due to rising water the section was notified to evacuate the mine. All miners were out of the mine by 2:00 pm. At 2:15 pm water started entering our return portal and was 6"" to 8"" at 1xc. Pumps kept the water receeding from the return portal. Second shift started in the mine at 4:15 pm.
