On 09/20/05, EE, who is a certified welder, got welding slag in his left boot when welding on a pipe. He sustained a small thermal burn on his left foot, thinking it was ""nothing"" and he did not report it to the mine operator. On 09/22/05, EE reported to the plant medical department with an infected burn in his left foot. Plant doctor prescribed antibotics for the infection.
