Narrative

EE was operating the continuous miner (Alpine) through lunch on the 10-A section. While taking a short break a piece of roof coal fell and struck him on the hard hat. He looked up to check the roof conditions again and another piece had already fallen. A 5""x10"" piece of coal struck him in the face causing a laceration to his upper lip and chipping a tooth. Cut required 5 sutures.
