Narrative

Located on 8-A section during a longwall move EE's left thumb was amputated at the distal joint while attempting to block up a shield prior to transport. The shield tip slid off of the mast of the scoop bucket causing the shield to drop down approx. 3"". EE's thumb was caught between shield canopy and the crib he was holding (upright, vertical).
