## Narrative

Miner was repairing a 2? discharge hose using a box cutter to cut off a damaged end prior to installing a new fitting and clamps. While cutting the hose with his right hand by drawing the box cutter towards him it slipped and sliced the knuckle of his left index finder creating an approximate one inch crescent slice requiring 6 stitches.
