## Narrative

Incident occured as subject was turning the crankshaft on a scraper engine-To access the engine the bellypan had to be lowered-A prybar was inserted into the pan's front hinge to act as a pin-Ten bolts were removed from the pan-Remaining bolts were partially backed out to allow the rear of the pan to open-As shaft was turned the pan came free and fell striking subject's leg.
