## Narrative

Working on motor connections, cutting tape away from splice, sitting down in front of motor for access to equipment, employee was using ""box cutter"" type knife for tape removal. Knife hit wire insulation causing knife to jump up. Employee received a 2 inch laceration to left forearm requiring 5 stitches. Employee was released to return to work with no restrictions that same day.
