## Narrative

At about 11:45am the hoistman of the main hoist (silver shaft) noticed an over-amperage problem w/the hoist. After troubleshooting the problem, it was determined a dirty rheostat control was the problem. However, this wasn't determined until later in the day & we ended up evacuating the mine via our secondary hoist/shaft. Had steady contact w/Boise MSHA field office.
