Frictional ignition occurred on the No.1 LW Face at No. 90 Shield. The shearer was cutting bottom with the headgate drum, when the ignition occurred under the H/G Drum. It lasted approximately 2 seconds and the flame extinguished itself. No fire fighting equipment was needeed to extinguish the flame.
