ME3 Roadway - Employee and co-worker were on their way to ME5 and 6 to check splices. They met the scoop and drag at 78 x-cut. Co-worker stated a piece of bridge plank approximately 5' long by about 4"" wide was kicked up from under the front wheel and hit employee in the right ribs causing multiple fractures.
